Organix Winter Warmers

Now that the cold weather has well and truly set in I have been on the look out for some quick, healthy and hot meals for Cody. Organix have been around since 1992 when their creator decided that she would like to see baby food made of only pure natural ingredients.

We were sent a lovely hamper full of yummy Organix goodies for Cody to try, mighty meals, mighty soups, goodies snack bars and some goodies fruit bags.

The soups looked delicious and the portion is just the right size for Cody, I loved that it wasn't a watery type soup and had some nice chunky bits in for Cody to have a good chew on. His (and my) favourite was definitely Tangy Tomato and Pasta, is looked, smelt and tasted delicious. I was so similar to my Mums home made tomato soup with the addition of the pasta. I really could have eaten it myself. The chicken noodle soup looks amazing and its next on our list to try.

We were sent a selection of the Mighty Meals to try and there were a lot of our favourites spaghetti and meatballs, curry and rice and a lovely hotpot. We tried first Cody's all time favourite meal Curry and Rice, the Vegetable and Chicken Korma was a good sized portion for lunch, it had and amazing smell. You could serve this as a quick and convenient tea as well by adding some pitta or nann bread along side. As predicted Cody gobbled the lot up, he didn't have to wait long either as it only took a few minutes in the microwave to heat up. If you don't like to microwave you can stand it in a pan of water to heat. I love that all the ingredients are Organic as it takes away the guilt I feel for not making it myself!

The snack bars and fruit bags we were sent went down well with all the children, especially Skye and Cody. Cody loves the apricot goodies bars, there perfect for a quick snack or even as an accompaniment with his lunch. I think Cody would eat the at any time of day though, he said 'yummy' when eating it. Which is a sure sign of satisfaction in our house. Skye liked the raisins and apricots dried fruit bag and there an good addition towards her 5 a day. The bags are perfect for adding to a packed lunch box, a snack and throwing in your changing bag for snacks on the go. We used the fruit gummies for our long bus ride to the paediatrician, Cody seemed to like the fact he thought they were sweets! Perfect for if you have a toddler who is a bit of a nightmare taking fruit.

We love the Mighty Range and would definitely recommend it, you can see the entire Organix Range on the Website as well as following them on Facebook and Twitter.
