Daily Ramblings - #R2BC - Reasons To Be Cheerful - 22/08/2013

I've found a lovely new blog hop to take part in hosted by the lovely Michelle from Mummy From The Heart, if you want to take part you can read more about it here.
So here are my reasons to be cheerful this week
I've made it to the last week of the long drawn out 6 weeks holidays and I'm still intact! I've had a few missiles thrown at me (expertly dodged) been swore at a little and the curtains are still on the pole in Logan's rooms.
The planning and routines put in place we and I and Logan have survived!! Logan is very much looking forward to returning to school on the 3rd and we are both relieved that we can see the Back to School symbol on the calendar.
These holidays have taught us after many years struggling that a set out daily plan like school is best for Logan to maintain a calmness through out the holidays. Still learning 5 years post diagnosis.

  4. Some great reasons, personally I think 6 weeks is too long, they should spread the holidays out better.

  8. You're nearly there. Keep going - and keep the gin handy! That's my motto. In Scotland, my kids just returned to school this week after SEVEN WEEKS of holiday. I have no idea how I did it ;-D

  9. Well said - I too am still here and still have my hair! I think the better weather this year has helped as we have all had much more fresh air so felt much more energetic and sleeping better too!
